If you’re a Windows 8 user, you may be frustrated with the lack of an easy way to see the full path in your Explorer window. This is especially true if you use a different computer for work and home. Fortunately, there’s a way to make Explorer always show the full path in Windows 8. First, open the Start screen and type “explorer” into the search bar. Then click on the “Explorer” icon on the top left of the screen. Now, under “Tools,” select “Options.” Under “General,” select “Show full path in Explorer.” Now, when you open Explorer, it will always show the full path.
Display the Full Path in the Windows Explorer Title Bar
Press the Windows + E keyboard combination to open Windows Explorer and then switch over to the View tab.
On the right-hand side click on options and then select Change folder and search options from the drop-down.
When the Folder Options dialog opens, switch over to the View options.
Here you will need to tick the Display the full path in the title bar check box.
That’s all there is to it.
