Windows 8 is a new operating system from Microsoft that is designed to be user-friendly and easy to use. One of the features of Windows 8 is the ability to run applications as administrators. This article will show you how to do this. To run an application as administrator in Windows 8, first open the Start screen by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard and clicking the Start button. Then, click the All Apps button and find the application you want to run as administrator. For example, if you want to run Word 2013 as administrator, click Word 2013 in the All Apps list and then click its icon on the Start screen. When you find the application you want to run as administrator, right-click its icon and then click Run As Administrator from the menu that appears. If prompted by Windows 8, provide your administrator password when prompted. After providing your password, Windows 8 will open the application with administrative privileges enabled. ..

Windows 8 does away with the Start Menu we all know and love, and introduces a more “immersive” Start Screen. Since there’s no context menu on the Start Screen you may be wondering how to run applications as administrator–here’s how.
