Opera is a web browser that has been around for many years. It is known for its speed and user interface. Opera also has a built-in startup dialog that can be used to show the user some of the features of Opera. The startup dialog can be accessed by clicking on the three lines in the top left corner of the browser window. The first line shows the name of the website you are visiting. The second line shows the name of your current tab, and the third line shows your current page title. If you want to show a list of all your open tabs, click on the three lines in the top right corner of the window. This will open a menu with several options, including Show All Tabs, Close All Tabs, or Show Tabs With Names. If you want to close all your open tabs, click on Close All Tabs at the bottom of this menu. ..
Opera provides several options for what displays when you open the browser. You can start with your Home page or Speed Dial, continue with the same tabs and windows from your last session, or continue with a session saved in Opera’s built-in session manager.
You can choose to display a dialog box when Opera starts that provides these options. To do this, enter “opera:config” (without the quotes) in the address bar in Opera and press Enter.
The Preferences Editor displays on the current tab. Enter “startup” (without the quotes) in the Search box. As you type, the results display. Select the Show Startup Dialog check box so there is a check mark in the box and click Save.
A confirmation dialog box displays. Click OK to close it.
Close Opera by selecting Exit from the Opera menu.
When you start Opera, the Welcome to Opera startup dialog box displays. Select one of the four options to tell Opera how to start. Selecting Continue from last time opens all the tabs and windows you had open when you closed Opera the last time. If you select Continue saved sessions, select a saved session saved using the built-in session manager from the list.
You can also choose whether you want the installed extensions to be enabled or not by selecting or de-selecting the Start extensions check box.
If you decide you don’t want this dialog box to display every time you start Opera, select the Do not show this dialog again check box. You can always show it again using the Show Startup Dialog preference discussed above.
Note that the Opera startup dialog always displays after Opera has been forced to close or has otherwise quit unexpectedly.
